Edward H. Wright
Vice President
Division Director, Systems Engineering and Analysis Division (SEAD)
Ed Wright leads the Systems Engineering and Analysis Division (SEAD), which conducts strategic and program planning, acquisition planning, systems engineering and effectiveness analyses across a spectrum of strategic nuclear and undersea warfare issues. SEAD also works to develop and transition emerging technologies and systems for military applications. The Division is comprised of three groups: the Strategic Systems Analysis Group, the Strategic Systems Integration Group, and the Undersea Technology Assessment Group.
Mr. Wright has more than 28 years experience in the management, design, development, and implementation of nuclear and conventional weapons systems, systems effectiveness analyses, missile and submarine vulnerability assessments, nuclear weapons security, and top level weapon system engineering and acquisition processes. Mr. Wright has contributed to several studies of nuclear skills, and was a participant in the 2008 Defense Science Board study of Nuclear Deterrence Skills, jointly sponsored by the Department of Defense and Department of Energy. He has been with Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. since 1985.
Mr. Wright holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University, Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia, and Engineering Management from The George Washington University.
