As part of SPA’s increasing support to the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Infrastructure Protection and the Protective Security Coordination Division we are using our expertise in strategic planning, policy development, performance measurement, systems engineering, and systems integration to provide decision makers with the knowledge and tools to better protect our Nation from terrorism. We also provide strategic planning and program management support to the US Army Corps of Engineers Office of Homeland Security mission to secure the nation’s water resources and their execution of interagency SSA responsibilities for the Dams sector.
We provide timely, award winning, and objective analytic support in the following areas:
- Transforming policy and legislation into national-level plans that support the coordinated efforts of federal, state, and local governments, as well those in the private sector.
- Assisting in the planning and development of systems, methodologies, standards, and tools to support protective security planning and initiatives.
- Assessing protective program performance through a verification and validation process, as well as helping manage change to improve effectiveness.
- Helping our Nation’s protective planning and programs evolve to better deal with an adaptive and increasingly sophisticated threat.
- Developing approaches to disrupt terrorist planning and capacity-building.
- Providing high-level systems and program integration, to include across federal departments and agencies, as well as Critical Infrastructure sectors.
Past performances have included:
- Serving as a major contributor in the development of the National Infrastructure Protection Plan, the guiding document for protecting the Nation’s 17 Critical Infrastructure and Key Resource Sectors. During this design we helped foster a pragmatic risk management approach to Critical Infrastructure protection.
- The strategic planning and operational stand-up of the Protective Security Advisor (PSA) program and training the PSAs in Critical Infrastructure Protection.
