The Strategic Operations and Security Division (SOSD) Program Management and Acquisition Group (PMAG) PMAG supports critical U.S. government programs providing systems engineering support, systems safety support, financial analysis support as well as security policy, compliance, and assessments.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other related technical field.  
• 5+ years of demonstrated, relevant work experience, particularly in the areas of Department of Defense (DoD) MIL-STD-882E system safety and environmental hazard analysis, nuclear weapons safety, ordnance safety, quantitative and qualitative modeling and analysis, probabilistic risk assessments, and safety review boards.
• Must effectively explain analysis methodologies and results in everyday language, translate results into usable output products, and display strong presentation skills to help influence decision-makers.
• Must be comfortable working independently, learning quickly, and have an interest in Naval platforms and systems.
• Must be proficient in using MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Looking for a positive, highly motivated team member and self-starter with strong communication and multi-tasking skills to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical skills to conduct research, analyze data and prepare recommendations.
• Strong time management skills.
• Must be eligible for or holding a current DoD Secret security clearance.  U.S. citizenship is required.
Job Description:
Responsible for conducting system safety analysis and engineering support of conventional weapons, non-weapon systems, nuclear weapon systems and DoD facility safety for a Navy program. Perform various system safety analyses in accordance with MIL-STD-882E and other safety guidance documentation. Provide support for technical safety analysis, review and approval. Research and resolve safety, security and environmental requirements. Utilize system safety analysis techniques such as fault trees and probabilistic risk assessments to assess mishaps for various Navy systems, facilities, vessels, and components. Develop white papers detailing the function of safety and security systems and the hazards associated with their operation and maintenance. Write hazard forms and safety assessment reports based on the research and analysis performed. Provide technical assessments of safety documentation created by other government agencies and contractors. Present system safety findings, research, and recommendations to government clients and safety authorities for decision and action. Act on behalf of the government during technical reviews. Track and follow up on action items and communicate with internal and external organizations that contribute to safety program efforts. Frequently interface with the primary customer, other support contractors and other government agencies. Attend and facilitate client meetings and participation. Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of SPA business.
