The Operational Support Analysis Group (OSAG) within SPA specializes in the application of operations research techniques and analytic skills to support multiple clients within DoD. One of OSAG’s clients is the Office of Net Technical Assessment (ONTA) within the Office of the Secretary of Defense. ONTA provides an analytic foundation for Department of Defense investment decisions to restore technical overmatch of the U.S. Armed Forces. 
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, or other Engineering field is required.
• 10+ years professional experience with 5+ years civilian or uniform support to the Department of Defense are required
• Operational military experience in or detailed knowledge of any of the following areas: Air Combat, Offensive Strike, Surface Warfare, Undersea Warfare, Cyber Warfare is required.
• Ability to lead, motivate and train team members, to establish priorities and manage competing deadlines for self and others is required.
• Must have demonstrated ability to conduct analysis and reach defensible conclusions using incomplete information.
• Experience developing executive level reports and briefs is required.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access is required.
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills are required.
• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance is required.

Desired Experience
• Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, or other Engineering field).
• Modeling and Simulation experience; preferably gained through analysis supporting DoD customers and/or military operations.
• Operations Research or related experience conducting analytical studies; preferably gained through analysis supporting DoD customers and/or military operations.
• Experience delivering briefs and presentations containing complex technical material.
• Experience with the use of programming languages in support of analytic efforts.
Job Description:
Examine client business objectives and environment to identify analytic requirements which can help drive business outcomes for client.  Develop and employ a responsive, systematic, and flexible approach for conducting analyses and assessments within the time and resources available.  Identify and leverage subject matter expertise, analytic tools, and data to support analyses and assessments.  Manage the efforts of a small team of analysts to meet study milestones.  Provide requirements for analytic tools and M&S efforts to support study objectives.  Build summary reports, briefings, and conduct internal reviews to ensure all products are accurate and impactful.  Develop and support out-briefing summaries.  
  
    

Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Successful candidates will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship required.
