Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking a highly motivated Information Technology Technician to support staff in troubleshooting, installation, operation, maintenance, and administration of computers and will work closely with the customer to ensure help desk tickets are resolved in a timely manner and customer expectations are exceeded.

• 2-5 years of help desk experience is required.
• High School diploma is required.
• College credit or Information Technology (IT) technical courses are desired.
• Previous experience working in Microsoft Office 2013+ programs and Microsoft Windows 8.1+ desktop operating systems.  
• One or more of the following certifications is required: A+ CE, Network+ CE, Security+ CE, Microsoft Certification.  
• Effective oral and written communication skills for working within a team environment.  
• Prior experience installing software, printers, and network devices.  
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.  
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
• US Citizenship is required.


Job Description:

• Performs day-to-day operational maintenance, installation, support and upgrades for operating systems and workstations.
• Performs basic and complex troubleshooting of hardware and software.
• Good communication in a team environment.
• Maintains and updates documentation as needed.
• Exercises independent judgment in support of desktop related work orders and inquiries and may have specialized expertise in one or more of the IT technical areas.
• Direct customer support to resolve routine requests.
• Participate as a team member.
• Monitors Help Desk including e-mail requests, answering telephone calls, and ticket management.
• May assist, conduct, or verify system audits to ensure systems are being operated securely, and information systems (IS) security policies. and procedures are being implemented as defined in security plans.
• May troubleshoot and maintain classified IS systems for daily use.
• May respond to queries and requests for computer security information and reports.
• Safeguards the network against unauthorized infiltration, modification, destruction or disclosure.
• Implements, enforces, and communicates security policies or plans for data, software applications, hardware, and telecommunications.
• May research, evaluate, test, recommend, communicate and implement new security software or devices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Work a daily on-site schedule for help desk coverage. 



Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Successful candidates will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship required.
